Gentry's Rufus Warren to play in all-star game

GREENVILLE – Gentry High tight end and punter Rufus Warren was chosen Thursday to play in the 62nd Annual Bernard Blackwell Classic all-star game.
The game, which has a North-South format, will be played Dec. 18 at Greyhound Stadium in Ocean Springs.
Warren, a Mississippi State commit, will suit up for the North squad.
Joining Warren on the 40-member North team will be Leflore County’s Debrandon Sanders, a defensive back, and Cleveland High receiver Jahmel McIntosh.
Broad Street’s Damarius Mitchell will serve as an assistant coach for the North squad.
Madison Central and South Panola paced all schools with three players each on the North team.
Head coach for the North team will be Kenny Burton, head coach at Ridgeland High. Meanwhile, Philadelphia’s Teddy Dyess was named the South’s head coach.
